If you’re really keen to play Virtua Fighter without, y’know, actually playing Virtua Fighter, then it looks like Dead or Alive 5 is going to have your curious demands covered.
Not content with adding Virtua Fighter’s Akira Yuki to the roster, Team Ninja’s Yosuke Hayashi has hinted that more characters from SEGA’s well liked fighting franchise may make the jump to Dead or Alive 5.
Speaking with Famitsu (via Andriasang), Hayashi insinuated that Akira probably won’t be the only character making the jump to Dead or Alive. It’s unclear whether he means we’ll be getting additional fighters from Virtua Fighter or an alternative franchise – but the former makes the most sense to us.
Go on then Virtua Fighter fans: who would you like to see make the cut? We’re gunning for Shun Di or Jeffry.

Sarah and Vanessa pls.
Jacky and Lion are on my list.
Jacky would become the most balanced fighter in the DOA roster which is what really frightens me. Lion would be cool but let's face it, they're going to add a woman.
I agree. It'll most likely be Sarah (as her and Akira are kind of the faces of the franchise) and I'm totally okay with that.
Me too. Sarah's been my main since VF4E and I can't wait to Dragon Smash Cannon some ninja. Although Kage should be in it too so he can face off with Ryu of course.
In fact, I think I want a DOA/VF crossover in the vein of SFxTK.
I'd like Sarah as well since she is the character I used in VF4 on PS2.
Belmont, you got taste.
totally has to be SARAH and AOI. PAI will too she definitely fits in with doa. Virtua Fighter is the best fighter ever made. takes months to master one fighter. definitely not for beginners
