19TH CENTURY VERSION OF THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE BY J.C. BUTTRE WITH PRESIDENTIAL PORTRAITS
The Declaration of Independence "Engraved and Published by J.C. Buttre, 48 Franklin St. N. Y.", 1856. With "Border drawn by W. Momberger _ Lettering by C. Craske". The document and signatures within an oval cartouche surrounded by representations of the original 13 colonies within foliate swags. Independence Hall up top and flags flanking an image of the Second Continental Congress below.
Together with 25 Presidential portraits of our first twenty-six presidents of the United States of America. Most marked with "Copyright by Colonial Press, N.Y. 1902". Images as follows:
