“Someone give this guy a contract!”- Giannis Antetokounmpo is impressed with Brandon Jennings' shooting clinic

It’s been five years since former Milwaukee Bucks guard Brandon Jennings played his last game in the NBA, but it seemed like the lefty gunner has not lost a step.

Jennings showed he can still torch the net with ease as he put on a shooting display during the recent Curry Camp of Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry.

In a video that has been circulating online, Jennings dropped six well-contested consecutive jumpers to the delight of some people in the gym. Four of the made shots came from behind the three-point area.

The video already earned millions of views on social media, and one of those who was in awe of Jennings’ display of impeccable shooting is his former teammate Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Antetokounmpo couldn’t help but share the video on his social media platforms. The two-time MVP even suggested that basketball teams should not waste time in signing his ex-comrade.

“Someone give this guy a contract. Sheeshhhh,” Antetokounmpo exclaimed.

Jennings is Milwaukee’s 10th overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft. It was with Milwaukee where Brandon had his best playing years. On November 14th, 2009, Jennings scored a historic 55 points in a win over fellow rookie Curry and the Golden State Warriors.

The 55-point explosion made Jennings the youngest player to ever score 55, and it was the most points scored by a rookie since 1968 when Earl “The Pearl” Monroe dropped 56.

The offensive explosion was made even more impressive as Jennings was actually held scoreless in the first quarter before catching fire in the next three quarters.

As a rookie, Jennings started all 82 games and led the Bucks to the playoffs for the first time in four seasons, although the Bucks ended up losing to the Atlanta Hawks in seven games.

From Milwaukee, Jennings went to the Detroit Pistons, Orlando Magic, New York Knicks, and Washington Wizards. Brandon found his way back to the Bucks on March 11th, 2018, but he was waived five months later.

All in all, Jennings played for 11 seasons in the NBA and made a name for himself as one of the league’s elite scoring guards. In 555 NBA games, the 6-foot-1 lefty shooter averaged 14.1 points, 5.7 assists, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.2 steals.

As a retired NBA player, Jennings is running the “Tuff Crowd” which is a luxury streetwear brand that he founded after his return to Milwaukee in 2018.
