All my work is characterized by a research on the "sign"
My works take on different shapes and aspects every time, the materials used change according to what the work requires: Wood, paper, acrylic color, gold and silver leaf, clay, oxides and resins are the essence of my works.
In my mind, when focusing on… the work to be created, the choice of the most suitable material is required. The final color, played on a layered paint, gives chromatic vibrations, which re-emerge from the deeper layers like veins, once the colors have "married".

Caterina Magri is an Italian artist whose sculptures and bas-reliefs have been featured nationally in solo and group exhibitions. Through her work, she continuously searches for “the sign”. As Magri’s pieces take on different shapes and functions, the materials she uses change. Wood, paper, acrylic colour, gold/silver leaf and resins are the essence of her works. She applies colour via layers of paint for a final touch which gives “chromatic vibrations”.
