In the “Matteric Elastic Tensions with wood residues” series, the living matteric force tries to get out of the picture but the artist exercises his control of the material and dominates the deformation of the surface, the color and the skin of the fabric, modeling folds and wrinkles like canyons that bring us back to the geological origin of Italy itself; tensions at the limit, volcanic, such as Stromboli, Vesuvius or Etna, ready for a tectonic fracture.

The Elastic Group of Artistic Research is comprised of an award-winning Italian duo and translated through abstract paintings, photographs and videos. They have exhibited throughout Europe, Asia and North America. The genesis of their work comes from the tension of the language of video which is transmuted into ‘materic’ painting. They artistically translate subliminal meanings and indetermination, revealing invisibility by establishing connections.
