In this work of mine, I explored the depth of human isolation, combining acrylic, pastel and charcoal to bring the most intimate nuances to life. Expressionism, figuration, realism and symbolism come together, representing two beings united but divided, reflections of the same soul with multiple facets and in silent contemplation. Each stroke is designed to evoke empathy and reflection,… bringing an energy that invites introspection and an understanding of loneliness as a universal experience...
This painting is made with acrylic colors, dry pastels, charcoal and pumice stone paste on cotton canvas.

« No real life without imagination ... »
Federica Belloli is a self-taught figurative painter. In her portraits, realism is blended with magical elements, often favoring childlike subjects in communion with their lead animal. They emphasize the importance of a pure and innocent vision of the world, accompanied by a deep connection with Nature. The intensity of the gazes is juxtaposed with backgrounds of unreal, almost ''metaphysical'' atmosphere, evoking tranquility and contemplation. She mainly uses acrylics for their matte finish, frequently associating multiple materials and experimenting with new techniques. Federica Belloli values honesty in art, believing in the authenticity of expression and the originality of the artist. Her work invites the viewer to appreciate the subtle wonders of Nature and not to forget the mysterious and instinctive side that dwells in each of us.
