Show: ENRICO BRIGNANO “Ma… Diamoci del Tu!”

After the great success of his tour with over 30 sold-out shows throughout Italy, Enrico Brignano has announced new dates for his show "Ma... diamoci del tu!". It will be presented on 23 March 2024 at the Palasport in Bolzano. the show written with Manuela D'Angelo and the collaboration on the lyrics by Alessio Parenti, with original music by Andrea Perrozzi and produced by Vivo Concerti. This is how Enrico Brignano describes "MA... DIAMOCI DEL TU": "Calling each other 'tu' today is now the practice, while 'lei' seems something archaic and formal. For example, when they call you from the call centre to discuss, I don't know, the telephone rate, or to suggest that you invest your grandmother's inheritance in cryptocurrencies, they use 'lei', probably to make it more difficult for you to tell them to fuck off. The 'she' is bureaucratic, you use it with the police or at the municipality, but the 'you' that is replacing it is empty, it does not carry with it that real confidence, that familiarity that I mean. That is why I begin this show by calling my audience 'tu': to create a confidence that is not of form, but of substance. And that I am a man of substance should be understood just by looking at me; I also want to add that BUT that resets everything, that resets distances to zero, be they social, economic or age. Age... lately I have noticed that because of my age more and more people tend to call me 'she', a 'she' that is as painful as a twinge of sciatica, which is more annoying and irritating than when I find myself getting up from the sofa exclaiming: 'hoplà'. I guess I need to start removing the 'young' from the expression 'young Roman comedian'. Since I'm in the mood for confidences, in my show I allow myself to talk about unpublished aspects of my profession and a personal story that then becomes a paradigm for everyone... yes, because for the first time I have decided to recount the disappointments, the false starts, all the NOs that I have collected in my professional life - and not. Of course always with a smile, never taking myself seriously, but emphasising how everything is useful in life, even a rejection can strengthen us and make us what we are today. Assisted on stage by maestro Andrea Perrozzi, I speak; with the collaboration of two 'annoying' but invaluable presences, Pasquale Bertucci and Michele Marra, I meanwhile continue to speak. Then, when they leave me alone on stage, I speak again. Yes, I have a lot to talk about. And sometimes to complain too.
