It is the first time Paolo Genovese directs a play, and in this case, it is the stage adaptation of one of his most recent and brilliant film comedies about friendship, love and betrayal. The cast includes some of Italy’s best-loved film actors, including Paolo Calabresi. Everything starts from the common assumption that we all have three lives: public, private, and secret. The secret one used to be well guarded in the archives of our memory, while today, it is stored in our mobile phones. Over dinner, a group of friends jokingly decide to place their phones on the table, thereby sharing messages, phone calls and the innermost secrets of their lives.
