Honda Livo Launch: Honda Motorcycle & Scooter Indian Limited has launched the OBD-2-compliant Livo in two variants, Drum and Disc. The former is priced at Rs 78,500 and the latter costs Rs 82,500 (both ex-showroom, Delhi). Not much has changed with the motorcycle. However, it does get an aesthetic update in the form of new graphics, in the same Athletic Blue Metallic, Matte Crust Metallic, and Black shade.
Mechanically, it's the same PGM-Fi, 110cc, air-cooled engine that produces 8.67bhp at 7500 rpm and 9.30Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm and is paired to a 4-speed gearbox. Like the Shine, the Livo gets a silent starter as well, which ensures a jolt-free self-start function. Notably, the Honda Livo also gets an externally placed fuel pump and auto-choke for ease of maintenance and repair.
Feature-wise, the Honda Livo gets a semi-digital instrument cluster that includes an odometer, digital tachometer, trip meter, and low fuel indicator. In addition, there's a long seat that Honda says "is smoothly integrated into the fuel tank" and measures 657mm long.
For reassurance, Honda equips the Livo with a combi-brake system, and a 5-step adjustable rear suspension as well. It also gets a seal chain that requires less maintenance and adjustments. The Livo also gets a Service Indicator to keep the rider updated with due servicing.
"This launch reflects our constant pursuit to elevate the riding experience, offering enhanced peace of mind. We are confident that the new Livo will raise the bar of style, performance and value in its segment,” said Tsutsumu Otani, Managing Director, President & CEO, of Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India.
"Since its debut in 2015, Livo has been a favorite among aspirational buyers in its category and with the introduction of OBD2 norms, we are elevating its appeal to new heights," concluded Yogesh Mathur, Director, Sales and Marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India.
