Cerretto Langhe is a small hamlet in the Piedmont region of Italy. It is the perfect place for a quiet break with great mountain views, charming rustic buildings and a few traditional restaurants to enjoy.
It is not far from the French border, and the Italian towns of Turin, Alba and Cuneo are within easy reach. Cuneo is located about 64km away from Cerretto Langhe; the drive takes roughly 70 minutes. The city boasts a huge square called Piazza Galimberti which is lined with archways and balconies.
Not far from the Piazza are the narrow lanes of the old town and the Church of St. Francis. In Alba there are shopping lanes, old churches and a selection of museums. Winery visits start from here as do tours of the surrounding countryside.
Turin is the capital of the Piedmont Region and offers lots to see, from the iconic Mole Antonelliana, to the grand Piazza Vittorio Veneto which overlooks the river. The weather in this region is cooler than southern Italy, but can vary quite a lot. In summer temperature stay about 25C, and spring and autumn sees highs of around 18C. It can rain heavily from time to time, so pack accordingly.
