On a cold weekend I decide to visit the small town of Este located 30 kilometers south of Padua. Like most Italian towns, Este also has a long and profound history behind it, initially an independent city, it was conquered by the city of Padua in the 13th century and then chased in the fifteenth century by the Serenissima Republic of Venice.

The undisputed symbol of the city that opens immediately before my eyes is the city castle with its imposing walls. The original castle was destroyed in 1238 on the occasion of the conquest of Este by the Padovans, what I admire today is instead the castle that was rebuilt following that conquered in 1440.

The castle walls are more than 24 meters high and now the inside of the walls is adapted to be a beautiful city park, enchanted place for beautiful walks in the name of the green of nature. Este is a small town but it contains a huge treasure made of wonderful period palaces, and beautiful romantic churches.

Especially beautiful is the 17th century clock tower that left me really impressed. Finally, not only all the many churches that are in this place, but also the Duomo of the city fascinates me and fascinates me thanks to its enchanting beauty.
