Brazil legend Marta delivers impassioned message to young players after loss to France

Marta led a feisty effort against France, but it wasn’t quite enough in a 2-1 defeat in extra time that bounced her Brazil side from the Women’s World Cup. Immediately after the match, the 33-year-old star delivered an impassioned message to her country’s young players.

“It’s wanting more,” Marta said in Portuguese during a post-match interview. “It’s training more. It’s taking care of yourself more. It’s being ready to play 90 plus 30 minutes.”
