The journey began in the city of Palermo, on the steps of a church, in a distant September. I knew I was looking for something that would make me start to write and to smell. The constant smell of that threshold that I have never crossed is still in my olfactory memory. Palermo as a starting point, travelling to different places, in search of a meaning for the road.
