Laboratory Assessor: AMRL Laboratory Assessors perform on-site evaluations of construction materials testing (CMT)<br />
laboratories located in all fifty states, Canada, Puerto Rico, <strong>and</strong> Guam. This is a full-time, entry-level position that offers a<br />
unique opportunity to travel. Assessors inspect each laboratory’s testing equipment, observe the performance of testing<br />
procedures in accordance with AASHTO <strong>and</strong>/or ASTM st<strong>and</strong>ards, <strong>and</strong> review quality management system<br />
documentation. Construction materials currently included in the scope of our programs are asphalt, aggregate, soil, metals,<br />
plastic pipe, <strong>and</strong> sprayed fire-resistive material (SFRM). A four-year degree in science (geology, environmental, etc.) or<br />
engineering (civil, mechanical, industrial, materials, environmental) is required. Advanced degrees are not desired for this<br />
entry-level position. Equivalent <strong>and</strong> relevant experience will be considered in lieu of the education requirement. We<br />
provide rigorous training – no prior CMT experience is required. Previous customer service experience is a plus.<br />
