Description

The Spormaggiore Wildlife Park offers everyone the unique opportunity to observe up close thebrown bear (Ursus arctos), the largest mammal in the Alps that has returned to populate the forests of Trentino thanks to a special reintroduction project.
You can admire here, in an absolutely natural environment, two specimens living within an area of 5,000 square meters.
In the park you can also observe some specimens of wolves (canis lupus),one of the largest native carnivores in the Alps. The area designated for them covers 3500 square meters of forest. It is equipped with two large observatories that, strategically placed, will allow you to observe wolves in semi-natural conditions.
Numerous large plants such as beech, spruce and larch, bushy areas alternating with open areas and a small stream with pools and small waterfalls well recreate the typical environment of these species.
Recently, 3 specimens of eagle owl have also been placed in an aviary and a male specimen of wild cat.
Since 2013 it has also been possible to observe, in specially prepared enclosures, undoubtedly fascinating animals such as foxesand lynx.
