In August through to December the Dorycnium Hirsutum Little Blue Boy produces these beautiful white pea shaped flowers which are tinged with pink. In Autumn will produce small seed pods coloured like mahogany. Making a great beginner plant for budding gardeners (and experienced alike) this shrub is one that looks good planted anywhere, including flower beds, borders, ground cover and low screening or hedging, a must have plant for the garden.
Dorycnium Hirsutum Little Blue Boy care
The Dorycnium Hirsutum Little Blue Boy thrives in a sunny location, coping well in dappled shade also, with well drained soils. Generally disease free this shrub also only requires minimal pruning. We encourage in spring time to cut right down which encourages a more bushy yet compact growth. Propagating can be completed by softwood cuttings.
