The former CSI: Miami star joins season 12 as a regular, playing Luke Alvez, a fugitive recovery specialist who joined the FBI after a military stint. Alvez’s timing is perfect, given the massive prison break at the end of season 11. He captured Daniel Cullen, one of the fugitives, in the past, and vows to lock him up again — for good. “It now becomes a chase of minds,” Rodriguez tells EW, “learning how to think like these people do.” Rodriguez is excited to join the crew, even if Alvez doesn’t excel in the BAU straight away.
