2022-23 (Senior):
Southeastern Louisiana grad transfer finished his career in a Shocker uniform... Saw time in 26 games with eight starts at the four-spot… Averaged 4.0 points and 3.4 rebounds in 16.2 minutes… Per KenPom, graded out as the team's best offensive rebounder at 10.4%... Finished with a positive assist-to-turnover ratio (18:17) along with 11 steals and knocked down 15-of-47 threes (.319)…. Scored in double-figures three times – all in a span of eight days…  Best performance came in the Nov. 26 home win over Tarleton State when he set season-highs for points (27) and rebounds (8) while converting 9-of-11 field goal attempts and 7-of-10 free throws… On either side had a 10-point, seven rebound performance in the NABC Hall of Fame Classic final versus San Francisco (Nov. 22) and 11 points and eight rebounds in an overtime thriller against Mizzou (Nov. 29) in which he clocked a season-best 33 minutes… Averaged 8.7 points and 5.4 rebounds in seven November games to earn a spot in the starting lineup… Started five times in December but saw his minutes dip during American Athletic Conference play with the second-half emergence of James Rojas… Made a senior day start and helped the Shockers to win over South Florida (Mar. 5) with eight points and seven rebounds... Final NCAA Division I totals (all schools) included 981 points and 523 rebounds across 110 games.
 
At Southeastern Louisiana (2020-22):
Started all but two games in two seasons at Southeastern Louisiana… Earned 2022 First Team All-Southland Conference honors… Ranked among the Southland leaders in points (7th, 14.6), rebounds (7th, 6.4), three-point field goals (9th, 1.82), steals (11th, 1.3) and minutes (10th, 31.0)… Helped his team to a runner-up finish in the Southland Conference Tournament and a postseason appearance as part of the inaugural Basketball Classic… Inside-out threat shot over 51 percent from inside the arc while knocking down 60 threes… Topped 20 points on eight occasions and recorded six double-doubles… Scored a career-high 32 point with 13 rebounds in a Feb. 17, 2022 win over A&M-Corpus Christi… Converted 107 free throws on 79.3 percent accuracy… Started all 25 games in 2020-21 and average 12.4 pts and team-high 6.5 rebounds, 1.2 steals.
 
At Miami Dade College (2019-20):
Spent his sophomore season in the junior college ranks at Miami Dade… Averaged 12.2 points and 8.0 rebounds on his way to first team all-conference honors…. Posted eight double-doubles in 29 games…
 
At Longwood (2018-19):
Appeared in 26 games as a true freshman and averaged 3.3 points and 2.3 rebounds in 10.4 minutes.
 
Prep School:
Spent a prep year (2017-18) at Massanutten Military Academy in Woodstock, Va. And helped lead the post-grad team to a program-record 32 wins and earn a bid to the National Prep Championship.
 
High School:
2017 graduate of Eleanor Roosevelt High School… Helped his team to Maryland’s Class 4A state title as a junior…
 
Personal:
Born Aug. 9, 1999… Son of Patrick Okafor and Juliana Mbausi… Has an older brother, Victor, and a younger sister, Sandra... Earned his bachelor’s degree in general studies from Southeastern Louisiana University in May 2022... Pursuing a certificate at WSU in Sports Leadership and Branding.... Nicknamed “Cheese” due of his versatility (because cheese goes with everything).
