About Audrey Ficus
Did you know that all plants in the Ficus genus produce figs? In fact, the word Ficus quite literally means figs! Even cooler, all figs are pollinated by tiny wasps that use the fruits as a safe place to raise their young. 🐝 Ficus plants also contain latex which emerges as a milky sap when twigs are broken. This latex makes them toxic, so be sure to keep a close eye out if you have children or pets!

How to fertilize Audrey Ficus
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Audrey Ficus after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Ficus cpr I have this pretty but not-really-thriving Audrey Ficus. I attempted to notch it yesterday, and cutting into the trunk created sap in some areas but not others. Does that mean that the parts of the trunk that don’t produce sap are “dead”? Drake plant info linked below has Having a similar issue with my fiddle leaf which I’m working on bringing back from the dead, but expectations are low… (See photos— this one has rooting powder on notches) #NotSoHappyPlants #Ficus #FiddleLeafFig #NewGrowth #notching #Branching

I have had her for at least a year and she hasn’t grown at all. Fertilized and under a grow light now…nothing. Ideas?

I have a ficus Audrey that I’ve had for 5 years. I water it weekly on a schedule. I always water it the same amount since they’re so finicky. I can’t tell if it’s telling me it’s under or over watered. Anyone know? She has such slow new growth in general.

Cover these roots? I put my ficus Audrey outside for the summer, and covered her soil with a thick layer of gravel as an experiment to see if it helped reduce the number of bugs moving in. For whatever reason- wind? The gravel? The extra sun? - she put out a bunch of roots higher on her trunk. Now that I've moved her back inside and taken out the gravel, should I cover these with soil or leave them?

Trying to bring Hepburn here back from the dead. She's looking a lot better than when I first rescued her, starting to get some leaves again. Any tips? #Ficus

What’s she doing?? I tried to do some research (for like 1 minute) and couldn’t find much. Are those little green balls figs? If so, I need to step up my charcuterie game. #Ficus

Spider mites? A few of my plants have been outside for the summer and I noticed some web on their leaves. I'm pretty sure it's from spider mites but I wanted to confirm. Three photos are from my ficus Audrey and the second is from my autograph tree.

Good owing a new double leaf?? I’m thinking it might be the stil powder I was experimenting with. Or the fact that I repotted! Anyone able to explain the science behind this? 🧬

Shout out to @lemrobs for getting me into clear pots. Now I can get #rootporn without repotting 🤤 look at this #ficusaudrey babe I got from @sarahsalith last fall! #plantfriendsarethebestfriends #plantamigos #nsfw #ficus #ficusfam #ficusgang #happyplants 🌱 #NewEnglandGregGang 🌱 #MaineGang 🌱 #ThePlantMompy

When I got this, Audrey ficus, it was covered in Mites took three months to recover. It’s now got some kind of a fungal I assume is indicated by this picture I’ve lost 50% of the leaves I drench the soil with Amber products for mites and fugus. I have not sprayed it yet as it’s in house. What do aboutvsoil, watering and fungus
