Phyllanthus amarus

Phyllanthus amarus Schumach. & Thonn. is a medicinal herb belongs to the genus Phyllanthus of the family Phyllanthaceae. According to The Plant List (2013), this species formerly known as a member of the family Euphorbiaceae. However, due to the absence of latex, ovary bi-ovulated and seeds without caruncle, the species morphologically classified as a member of Phyllanthaceae plants (Silva 2009).
