About Matteo

Matteo Meloni is from Turin, Italy. Currently, he is a Ph.D. student in Italian Studies, Department of Romance Studies, at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill.

After graduating from the University of Turin (2016), he taught Italian and Latin in high schools. Since 2016 he has been the artistic director of the "Pinerolo Poesia" festival. In 2021 he debuted with his first poetic work (La danza degli aironi) in the XV Quaderno italiano di poesia contemporanea (Marcos y Marcos).

His research interests include 2oth/21st Italian Literature, Italian Contemporary Poetry, Environmental Humanities.
