Seeds need darkness to germinate

To those posting that they experienced poor germination, I too had that problem initially. I started them indoors in seed trays, but was not seeing any seedlings emerging. After some research on Vinca, I discovered that these seeds need darkness to germinate. I then used a sheet of cardboard to cover the pots during the daylight and lo and behold, seedlings everywhere! I transplanted outdoors and was rewarded with many purple blooms. Good product, but one needs to do a bit of research into how to grow them.
