We have been bombarded in recent years with products to increase the amount of testosterone in aging men so that they may have the vitality they once had as younger men. Yet, unknown to many, is the fact that much of the testosterone in a man's body is not available for use in achieving the "vigor" of the young. It is locked away in what is called SHBG or sex hormone binding globulin. This bound up testosterone can be released for use by Avena Sativa.

Since I started taking Avena Sativa on a regular basis, I have felt better mentally, having more focus and confidence needed to start and complete tasks and projects I have to do. Also, I have a little more energy to go along with that. No, I am not feeling like a twenty-year-old again (I wish) but at age 67, I need all the help I can get. Avena Sativa is a simple, safe, and effective way to help. The testosterone that is made "free" by Avena Sative is my own, not synthetic or anything else. It just makes sense. For those men that understand what "morning wood" is, mine is beginning to return. That's is positive sign that things are working better. Many, more expensive, ED products contain Avena Sativa for good reason, it works. I take a few other naturual supplements as well in my quest to function as a younger me. Avena Sativa is one that I will continue to take, and it is very economical.

Avena Sative works with men AND women. Women also need an adequate supply of hormones as well to function in a more youthful and healthy way. SHBG doesn't differentiate between male or female hormones, it just binds them up. So my call to those who would listen is simply - Let the Hormones go Free!

This product, made from oat greens, has been helpful for my libido and for some word-retrieval problems I was having. I originally tried it because I had read it could be helpful for reducing sex hormone binding globulin levels. My total testosterone levels are actually high but my free testosterone levels are too low because my SHBG levels are twice normal. Although, symptomatically, avena sativa seems to help, a blood test after a week shows no increase in free testosterone. I'm still taking it because avena sativa has a lot of herbal benefits and for the symptom improvement.
