Note: We aren’t “sold out”—we will bring Snakeroot to the Burnsville or Edina plant sales when we are sure they are growing well. Snakeroot is very slow growing and it can be a challenge to get them big enough for pre-orders.

Snakeroot is a rare wildflower with currently untapped garden potential. This native plant a history of medicinal uses dating back to Native Americans. The root is still currently sold for herbal remedies throughout the world. For gardens, it’s a short flower at only about 1ft tall and blooms in May and June. White spring blooming natives are few and far between, making Snakeroot a valuable addition to gardens.

Snakeroot is pollinated by little bees and flies. They fly from flower to flower so fast you have to stop and pay attention to notice them! It’s a valuable spring resource for pollinators and is a great addition to any pollinator garden.
