    Nice big seeds, easy to grow. Some flowered first year; put most in a dry gravelly bit in full sun in our small garden and they grew to about 5'...taking over the whole bed but looked great!

    Excellent germination. Lost a proportion to snails when planted seedlings out but those that survived came back with very hairy leaves and have done well, self seeding this summer. Beautiful leaves and flowers and still flowering now at the beginning of December.

    Germination Instructions

    Sow indoors. Surface sow onto seed compost. Needs light to germinate. Ideal temp. 15-20°C. Keep moist but watch out for damping off. Germination 7-21 days. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle to 8cm pots. When well rooted plant out in autumn or spring with 30cm spacing.

    Growing Instructions

    Prefers a moist, well-drained soil.

    Cultivation Instructions

    Deadhead if you do not want it to self-seed. If you wish to collect seed allow the heads to become dry and brown before cutting.
