Germination Instructions
Sow direct 6-8 weeks prior to last expected frost. Sow 3mm deep with 10cm spacing. Ideal temp. 15-20°C. Sow indoors 3mm deep into moist well-drained seed compost and keep moist. Germination takes 7-14 days. Keep in light, but not direct sunlight. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle to 8cm pots. Acclimatise and plant out from April with 50cm spacing.
Growing Instructions
Prefers a light soil with excellent drainage. Roots are prone to winter rot in wet areas. Requires little attention.
Cultivation Instructions
Deadhead spent flowers to encourage repeat blooms. Allow some of the flower heads to set seed which can be collected. Fertilise in autumn and mulch.
