I purchased this after unintentionally drowning my previous phone (also a Nokia 1100). It is perfect for me as I am outside in all conditions and need a phone that is tough and reliable with good battery life. I can live without the features (and associated fragility) of more modern phones. My last Nokia lasted eight years. I have no reason to assume that this one won't do the same.
