Fresh off one of his ridiculously intense workouts, which he does for about five hours a day, Adam Rodriguez knows the payoff is looming: That would be all of us oohing and aahing as he dances in Magic Mike 2. With only about a month to go until Channing Tatum and Co. get ready to showcase their body of work again (on set that is—we'll have to wait a little longer to see it on the big screen), Adam and I chatted about his newest role as a father, playing Preston Cruz on CBS's sultry legal drama Reckless ("It's so much fun to play this guy that appears to be good, and he is, but you never are 100 percent sure."), and the nicest actor he worked with on the set of Felicity. Let's play 10 fun icebreakers with Adam Rodriguez!
1. Be honest: The character name you most disliked is: a) Sandino in I Can Do Bad All by Myself, b) Alfie on Sesame Street, or c) Tito in Magic Mike?
Adam Rodriguez: That is tough! [Maybe] Alfie, but it was cute because it was Detective Alfie! Sandino is hard because I actually got to name the character, and I did it after my friend's dad who has since passed away. And then Tito...you know, I guess, Tito! Out of all those character's names, I'd least like to have the name Tito. [Laughs] Although my trainer's name is Tito, so hopefully he won't read this!
2. You played Erik Kidd on Felicity. Were you Team Ben or Team Noel? And which cast member was the nicest to you on the set?
Adam: Only because he's such a great guy, I'm going to have to go with Foley, so Team Noel. Most of my scenes were with Amy Jo Johnson, and she was a doll. Everybody was really cool on that show. That was a really cool time for me.
3. Your Twitter profile pic is of you in a speedo on the set of Magic Mike. Your cover photo is you half naked on the set of Reckless. You clearly don't mind embracing a lack of clothing! So what do you sleep in and what clothes are you most comfortable in?
Adam: You're right. I just figured it'd be fun to put that up since I'm getting ready for the second movie. I'm definitely not comfortable in a speedo! That's as uncomfortable as it gets! It goes up the crack, and it's just not that comfortable. I'm most comfortable in my bare shorts without any underwear and a T-shirt if I'm home. I definitely like to sleep naked. I don't know how girls do it with thongs. Forget that! [Laughs]
__4. You've been in music videos for Jennifer Lopez, Busta Rhymes, and Lionel Richie. If you had to pick one of those artists to sing at your wedding, who would it be and what would be your wedding song? __
Adam: Lionel Richie! Jennifer would be great, but I have to go with Lionel. He just has so many songs, and he's the nicest guy ever. We've actually stayed in touch, and I grew up being a fan of his music. It would play in my house all the time. My wedding song would be "Endless Love" with him and Diana Ross. And then we play "All Night Long" and "Dancing on the Ceiling" at the party!
5. You're constantly in the gym and working out, but what's your weirdest eating habit?
Adam: My diet is so crazy strict right now, so I'm putting low sodium hot sauce on everything. Salt would be nice, but I just can't do it right now. Hot sauce is coming to the rescue! For the first big cheat meal I have, I'm going to throw myself a party and eat all the shit I've been wanting to eat. I'm looking forward to a nice bottle of wine, a nice juicy, salty filet mignon, salad with a lot of dressing and cheese, and some cake. I'm going to have a crazy cheat meal!__
7. Which of your co-stars from Magic Mike would you most trust to babysit your daughter?
Adam: Oh my God! Haha! Well, I would say that I would trust Kevin Nash the most. He plays Tarzan. He's a former WWE wrestler, he's 7 feet tall, probably weighs 290 pounds and he's solid muscle. He's got a kid, so he's been down that road before, but he's just the most intelligent gentle giant. I'd feel really comfortable leaving Frankie in his hands.
Glamour: Poor Channing though. No credit for the new dad, huh? [Laughs]
Adam: [Laughs] You know, Channing is the obvious choice. He's got a little girl, but I think I'm going to go with Kevin on this one.
8. You're from New York, you live in Los Angeles, and you are shooting Reckless in Charleston, South Carolina. What's the most romantic city from that list that you love to take your girlfriend out in?
Adam: New York is just going to win for me every time. I love L.A. and will always spend some time living here for the rest of my life. If you're talking about romance and a city that has magic, New York has it when the night is right, the weather is right, and the right evening is out. It's just unbeatable. Charleston is gorgeous, romantic, and sexy and has this humid, coastal vibe with the old architecture. In L.A. you have the beach, the weather, and the mountain. You can't top New York though. The city that tops it all is the city that I'm in with my girl.
9. Your bio says that you are in the midst of trying to write music, poetry, and bad jokes. Name three things that you actually really excel at!
Adam: This has been the most fun interview I've done in a long time. This is definitely not the same old shit! OK, I) Just being in the moment. Making a connection is what I do the best. 2) An appreciation for great food. I love to talk about it, help prepare it, and most importantly, help consume delicious eats! 3) Keeping myself occupied. I've always been able to entertain myself. I always want to give back. So giving time to people to an organization or just being there in any way to help.

10. You've been part of the CBS family for quite a few years (first with CSI, now with Reckless). If you were to join one of their comedies, which one would it be and why?
Adam: I would love to join Two and a Half Men to the tune of $2.5 million an episode! Mike and Molly is hysterical. Melissa McCarthy looks like she would be a ball to hang out with. And Big Bang Theory is amazing.
__Which icebreaker surprised you most? And don't forget to watch Reckless on Sunday at 10 P.M./9 P.M. CT on CBS.
