Gente di Capocotta - Capocotta's People
Project info

Since the times of Augusto Sindici, roman poet from 19th century, Capocotta, the beach next to the President's estate, between Ostia and Torvajanica, has always been a symbol of the roman spirit.
Boasting a well preserved nature, it welcomes every summer people of every class, as if in this still wild place, social differences would vanish.
A sort of Star Wars spaceport, in which surreal and emblematic characters pass by, representing remote galaxies and a multicultural society.
Daniele Cametti Aspri lands in Capocotta's Lido seven years ago and immediately chooses it as his territory of social-photographic exploration, place of choice in which to observe and portray human diversity and experiment photographic passion and technique up to arrive to his synthesis in GENTE DI CAPOCOTTA.
Lifeguard Enrico, guardian of the masses of bathers; young Leonardo, representative of a Nintendo-addicted generation; Antonio, the building contractor; Maradona and his serbo-croatian family; Mohamed, the hat seller; Amir, the coconut seller; Giovanni, just released from jail after 4 years; and many other coloured and surreal characters, all deprived of their differences under Capocotta's sun.
