A spectacular, large dry deciduous tree to about 40 m tall, native to eastern Australia which produces masses of bell-shaped, bright red flowers when in its leafless state. It is best suited to warm temperate climates and tolerate moderate freezes and drought conditions. It is easily grown from seed.
