Clivia miniata is a very popular perennial up to 50 cm tall, native to South Africa but widely cultivated in other parts of the world as an ornamental for the warm temperate garden or as a potted plant. It presents elegant, leathery, dark-green, strap-like leaves and very showy, large, discretely perfumed, funnel-shaped flowers. Clivia miniata tolerates light frosts and will grow well in USDA Zones 9 and above. It also makes a very enduring house plant that will grow and bloom even in the most adverse situations. Our 'Color Mix' is sourced from a world renowned Clivia breeding farm and has a mix of flower colors from red to orange, salmon, yellow and green.
