Morohashi Museum of Modern Art
Finished

Artists

Salvador Dalí, Philippe Halsman
The wide-open eyes and the pointed mustache. It was photographer Philippe Halsman (1906-1979) who took "Salvador Dali" (1954), the photograph that made the face of Salvador Dali (1904-1989) widely known. His photographs have long adorned the covers of magazines around the world, including Life magazine in the U.S., where they were used 101 times, the most in the magazine's history, and the Jump series, where many stars of the day, including Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn, as well as politicians, writers, and scientists, have served as models.

In this exhibition, Halsman and Dali collaborated on several photographs throughout their decades-long friendship.
