Chitalpa tashkentensis 'Pink Dawn'

Bignoniaceae

Chitalpa tashkentensis 'Pink Dawn'

Small tree with a broad, flattened, spherical crown. The young leaves are glossy green, while the mature leaves are dull green. Because they are relatively narrow, they give the tree a fine structure. In early summer, large plumes with trumpet-shaped flowers appear. Sometimes there are up to 40 flowers together. They are about 4 cm in size and light pink with a light yellow throat. The flowers are sterile, so no fruits are formed. This tropically appearing tree is a hybrid between Chilopsis and Catalpa. It is a heat-loving tree that tolerates drought. In cooler areas, growth will be less vigorous. In areas with high humidity, the tree seems to be susceptible to powdery mildew.

Our trees can only be planted when they don't have any leaves. Due to the this we will start delivering again from November 2024.

Origin
