What is multimedia?
In the most basic of terms, multimedia is
any combination of text, graphics, animation, pictures, video, and sound that
is used to present information. For me,
it is a coherent packaging of information designed to appeal to variety of
learners using at least two of the aforementioned components.

In the past, teachers were limited to resources
such as classroom maps, text documents, videotapes, etc. when creating
multimedia presentations. Then the Internet age brought two new options,
hypertext and hypermedia, to expand the horizons of both teachers and students.
