This is a full, portable version of Donald Duck: Quack Attack/Goin' Quackers! that allows you to run the game without having to install it or have the CD-ROM inserted. All you have to do is run and play!
Please note that running the main executable as administrator may be required in order for the game to load the configuration files, so it is recommended to enable it by default.
This uses a DInput-to-XInput controller wrapper named Xidi which requires Windows 10 or above and the latest Visual Studio 2022 Redistributables in order to run:

This a great version of my childhood game! Although for some reason Donald freezes when getting power ups, any fixes for that?

This works really simple. Just download in and when you press Donald.exe it works immediately. Doesn't install anything. Only thing i had is when im picking up those sorbets ,that makes you go really fast, it freezes donald. So dont pick those up i guess.

Simply put, I've tried running this as-is, I've tried tweaking it a little, it simply does not work. Windows 10.

I updated the archives to *hopefully* fix the Graphics Dll error, I changed the load directory of ubi.ini to be in the installed game directory instead of C:\Windows\ and bundled a pre-configured ubi.ini so you won't have to manually create it. If you still somehow get that Graphics Dll error, try running the game as administrator.

It doesn't work. The .exe displays the following error: "Graphics Dll not found, run install"
For a version that is supposed to work on its own, well, that's not the case at all.
I tested on another computer, another error (still about a Dll file) is displayed. Both computers are running Windows 10 and are up to date.

Hi,
thank you for putting this together! It is great to play this again in 60fps, with optional widescreen support, and most importantly, without the need of a CD.
---------------------------------------------
Also a small piece of info for other users reading this: Ingame videos don't play by default, setting the game's .exe to run as admin won't change this.
But you can get them back by setting the .exe's compatibility mode to 'Windows XP (Service Pack 2)' or 'Windows XP (Service Pack 3)' .
The only downside is that the videos won't be fullscreen.
Also, I would recommend playing this in 4:3 instead of widescreen as the game tends to do visible culling. Meaning geometry and objects (such as trees for example) stop being rendered when no longer in view, this is normally hidden in 4:3 as the game is intended for that aspect ratio but becomes visible in widescreen.
Though, it is not as aggressive as I probably make it sound here, it is visible though, so keep that in mind.
