Sony was first working with Nintendo to create a CD add-on for the SNES. It's a long story, but Nintendo eventually scrapped the idea and Sony developed the PlayStation instead. Wise choice!

This gorgeous little light gray box was at the forefront of pushing 3D gaming to its limit during this era, and stood the test of time against all of its competitors worldwide for years, regardless if the other machines were more powerful... and did so until Sony followed it with the mighty, mighty PlayStation 2.

The entire PlayStation collection I've gathered together is massive and in 4 parts. This archive is part 3 of 4, featuring titles that start with the letters Q-Z. It only contains single disc titles or the occasional multi disc titles that did not require swapping.

Special items included:
Unreleased prototypes, games not in English (but only if they were easy enough to play without being fluent in another language), English-patched translations, plus these extras: "R: Rock'n Riders - Photo Album," "Rap-la-MuuMuu from JumpingFlash! 2," "Ray-Ray CD-ROM," "Robots: Video Alchemy," "Science is Elementary" 1-3, "Setup Utility for DTL-1500 Version 1.1," "Story Lane Theater" 1-5, "The Making of Nightruth," "The Redeemer," "Thrustmaster Cheatcode S Version 1," "Video IDU Test v1.1," "Vindicator Cheat System," "Virtual Aquarium Screensaver," "Virtual Fireplace Screensaver," "Write Away" 1-10, "X-360: Surrounding Your World With Sound," "Xploder CD9000 Version 4.0," "Yamagata Digital Museum: Autumn, Spring, Summer, and Winter," and "Yuukyuu Gensoukyoku 3: Perpetual Blue - Visual Collection." None of these extras are "games" in the typical sense - They contain multimedia programs, PlayStation applications, and game-altering software that I believe is important to preserve. If you're only after the actual games in this set, feel free to delete those titles named above.

Items removed:
Non-working dumps, duplicates, versions not in English when English was available, Japanese and European versions of titles when a North American version was available, hacks, homebrew games, and titles not in English that require proficiency in another language to play - Those can be found in my "Sony PlayStation Language Pack" here: archive.org/details/language-pack-sony-playstation-champion-collection.

Release notes:
This is a complete re-work of my previous Sony PlayStation set, which I did a couple years back. It was a bit messy and lots of new rips have been found out in the wild since then. I've hand-tested these new additions, added 407 more titles overall, upgraded several others to newer revisions, and organized the files much, much cleaner than last time - They can even be placed all together in one folder and nothing will get mixed up! There are some rhythm games that have append discs found in the multi disc collection that also have the key (or first) disc included (just to be thorough), but you're welcome to overwrite any of the key discs found in the multi disc set with the ones included here or vice versa - The .cue files are set up to work just the same for both versions of the game regardless.

However, I strongly suggest storing the single disc collection in a separate folder instead, for ease of use. You'll want to import the m3u (playlist) files into your emulator rather than the individual .cue files for the multi discs, or they will not load / swap discs properly. Keeping these in a separate folder will make it much easier to import these titles in two different batches - The multi disc set (via .m3u) and single disc set (via .cue).

You should notice a few games that look like duplicates - Both the NA and JP version of "Um Jammer Lammy" are included because of large amounts of censorship and timing issues within the NA version. "Strikers 1945" appears here with both NA and JP versions as well, because the NA version is actually the game "Strikers 1945 II," but it was released under the first game's name instead. There are a couple others that eagle-eyed players may find under different names, but their inclusion is on purpose because there are significant differences between the two titles.
