THE IDEA
The idea for this editorial project is to consider the various models as Modern Muses surrounded by a mysterious aura given by their beauty. We want to depict the refined elegance -present in each shot - as the representation of artistic and cultural values.
THE CHALLENGING PART
The challenging part of this project was the organization of the shooting. It was my first time on set as a freelance, and I had to learn how important every little step's from the beginning to the shooting day; contacting models agencies, finding a make-up artist and a light assistant, taking care of the styling, to the day on set where I had to arrange the lunch, the shift between models/make-up/styling.
THE LAST STEP
Once the shooting ended, the photographer and I selected the most relevant photos. Afterward, I took my flight back to Italy and I opened up InDesign. While Aurora, the photographer, was editing the pictures, I was trying to enhance the models’ beauty and aura through an editorial project. They loved it.
WHAT I LOVED THE MOST ABOUT THIS PROJECT
While managing its artistic direction, I fell in love with the vibrant cultural exchange between photographers and creatives on set. Here, I learned that, through cooperation and communication, it is possible to outperform the limits achievable by the individual.
