Frederic Massara is reportedly in talks with Napoli to replace Cristiano Giuntoli as the Partenopei’s sporting director.

Massara, one of the architects of Milan‘s first Scudetto in over a decade in 2021-22, left the Rossoneri alongside Paolo Maldini at the end of last season.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, he could be the new sporting director at Napoli, replacing Giuntoli who has joined Juventus.

The report claims Massara met De Laurentiis in Rome last week. He was offered a long-term deal and the 54-year-old has taken time to evaluate the Partenopei’s proposal.

Massara has already worked with Napoli boss Rudi Garcia at Roma and the Frenchman is reportedly pushing for his appointment.

Former Lazio director Igli Tare is also an option for Napoli, but Massara appears to be their primary target.
