The Pit Room’s Sister Tex-Mex Restaurant Opens Next Week

The Pit Room’s foray into Tex-Mex is almost here. Cadente will celebrate its grand opening on 4306 Yoakum Boulevard (the former home of Cane Rosso’s Montrose location) on Monday, September 16.

“Candente is truly a labor of love and the opportunity to open it in the ideal space right next door is a dream fulfilled,” Michael Sambrooks, owner/operator of Sambrooks Management Company said in a statement. “Doing Tex-Mex the Pit Room way means from scratch, delicious and consistent recipes using nothing but the very best meats and ingredients cooked with live fire to apply the smoke and taste we love.”

Meaty options include the “Tampiquena,” a 9-ounce prime Niman Ranch ribeye topped with two cheese enchiladas, grilled onions and chili lime butter. Or brisket nachos featuring a full half pound of chopped smoked brisket.

Expect to find Tex-Mex classics like enchiladas, tamales, queso, and fajitas. Cadente will also serve queso flan and margaritas with 100% agave Espolon tequila, frozen or on the rocks.
