Ahh, the Philips CD-i. Home of those Zelda games (a situation which came about because Philips was also helping Nintendo with a theoretical SNES CD add-on that never worked out, after the deal with Sony had fallen through). There’s some other games here more suited to the “interactive multimedia” format like Space Ace / Dragon’s Lair, and The 7th Guest. Also straight-up movies because movies on CD was a novelty I guess.
The original CD-i retailed for seven hundred US 1991 dollars, and was not what you would call a success.
