I know I say this every time, but today I definitely got my favorite cut so far!

I had to book with Kelly about 4 weeks in advance but it's so worth the wait. She is a wizard with curls and textures. If you need someone to take your wavy-ish curls and make them shine to their full glory, Kelly is the stylist you need in your life.

I love coming here. I moved to a different neighborhood and now it's a 35 minute walk -- past, I am sure, tons of other stylists -- but it's so worth it.

I am so impressed with my hair color and cut. My stylist Miranda is PHENOMENAL. The hair color is exactly what I wanted. I colored my hair to get ready for a big important interview and Miranda listened to what I wanted and executed flawlessly (even better than I had originally imagined). I also really like the vibe of the salon. 10/10 experience.

Maxine was so sweet and fun, she made me feel so comfortable during the appointment and I'm really happy with how my hair turned out, she's super talented. I also loved the atmosphere of the building and the product lineup out front was really impressive. I'll deff be coming back! My roommate had recommended me to this place and her hair looks great too!!

I got a curly 70s/80s shag haircut with Brent last week and I love it! I was pretty nervous because I was always told that I couldn't have bangs or short layers because of my curls. Brent reassured me that my hair was perfect for this cut, and he was right! He first dry cut my curly hair (if you're curly, I recommend coming to the salon already washed and styled so they can see it in its natural shape and dry cut it), then he softened the layers near my face with a brush so that I could see what it would look like in a softer 70s style. He explained that if I wanted to go with an 80s shag, all I had to do was wear my hair natural and curly. It was a combination hair 'n' history lesson!

Anyway, I'm so grateful to Brent--the cut he gave me is extremely low maintenance. It looks great, even after I first wake up (wearing my silk bonnet helps though)! I thought bangs would be a pain in the butt, but his cut made them effortless.

If you have curly hair or want a shag style, I highly recommend Brent! He also has curly hair, though it's short now, so he really understands how it works. I used to only get Deva cuts, and those (mostly straight-haired) stylists would always spout off the same tired advice from their trainings that I already knew. In contrast, Brent gave me new, unique styling tips and took his time to show me different ways I could wear the style. He's also super nice and fun to talk to, so it was just an all around groovy experience!

I love American mortals I heard about them because every time I saw someone in the city with really cool looking hair I said where did you get that done and they said American mortals (no joke this happened 3 or 4 times throughout a 4 year period) finally I went booked and appointment I had Jess and Mo both were awesome Mo does styling and hair coloring which I'm so into my hair being different shades and I asked for blonde / black / the picture I showed her was EXACTLY what it looks like I'm very impressed and it took a long long time for me to find someone like this I used to go to this guy Jeffrey down old city I haven't been able to track him down - these are some bad a** replacements !!

The first interaction was over the phone. Not only was reception super pleasant, they listened to the reason for my visit and empathized as well.
When I arrived everyone was welcoming and friendly.
The salon's covid protocols made me comfortable.
Scarlett was absolutely amazing. She was incredibly understanding, she listened to my worries, and eased them almost immediately. She kept me in the loop about what she was doing with my hair, she's a great conversation, and genuine. I felt welcomed to be there, and I could tell Scarlett was prepared for my visit.
Above all things, not only is everyone incredibly talented, but I was pleasantly surprised about how economical my service was.
I'm officially a "forever client".

Very friendly staff too! I have a service dog and the staff was very accommodating which was much appreciated as some businesses are not.

OMG!! I just got the best haircut of my life from @kateb_hair (aka Katie Baker) at the Walnut St. Location!! She helped me figure out what I wanted and translated it into the perfect haircut. The whole experience from start to finish was so fun, easy and relaxing. She had a fan for life and I can't wait for my next cut & color!! Sincerely, a happy blonde
