Like everyone else who comes to Agrigento, I came to see the Valley of the Temples. So I was in Agrigento for only a couple of nights. But each night, I went to Capotavola. It had been recommended by a local with whom I struck up a conversation in French since he had lived in Montreal for 20 years.

The service was very good and professional. I was not hindered by my lack of Italian. The pastas were very good as well as the list of local wines. The environment is very nice as it occupies the space formally for underground storage of either wine barrels or general merchandise. There are lots of stone vaulted arches and excellent lighting.

My only complaint would be that on one night there was a group of 20-30 local school kids eating at one end of the restaurant. Boy were they loud. Very loud.
