Stopped in with my buddy before a Warriors game. Place is open, spacious and well lit so it's very inviting. We quickly found a seat at the bar for two about 20-30 min before game time. Ordered a few beers (great beer selection) and were sipping on drinks within 10 minutes of waking in the door. People sitting next us at bar were friendly and bartender (also part owner) was extremely helpful and attentive while we're there.
We had already eaten but food on menu and at people tables looked very good. Will definitely make sure to stop by here next time I'm in the area with a little more time to dive into food and wine/beer menu.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Cali L.San Francisco, CA566694101Dec 9, 2023
We love love love ungrafted (fun wine bar and restaurant in Dogpatch) so we wanted to give this place a shot. It's located right next to the warriors gift shop.
The wines were all so good, the food was on point, especially the chips and dip. We also had the charcuterie board and shrimp, both fantastic!
Our server was lovely and very accommodating. I absolutely love that they are so family friendly (even having a toddler table) and really try to make everyone feel welcomed.
The place is a perfect spot to have a few glasses of wine and some small plates and bites before dinner.Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 3Oh no 0 - Feb 3, 2024
This is an overdue review but deserving! I loved glu glu, the staff were very knowledgeable and also friendly, the food was amazing, and there was a good selection of wine. My friend and I shared a few items - potatoes, glu glu salad, Serrano ham sandwich, and chicken liver toast. All items were delicious but I think the star was the sandwich. Omg I wanted another one after. It wasn't too crowded when I went and a nice area to people watch if there's an event happening at chase center haha. I can't wait to go back to glu glu!!

Come for tapa happy hour! 3-5P! $7 for food or drinks on the menu! Had such a lovely time celebrating with my friends - it's a beautiful open space with indoor and outdoor seating and the staff are the nicest people there and very knowledgeable about wine. The owner even gave us a little taste of some alcohol on the house! The food was also fantastic and there was a large variety as well!
I'll be making GluGlu an addition to my happy hour list!Helpful 2Thanks 2Love this 4Oh no 0 - Aug 26, 2023
A group of friends and I came here for a drink + food before a concert at Oracle. I had made a reservation, but it honestly wasn't necessary because there were lots of tables open.
I love how knowledgable the staff at GluGlu are about their wine. Leveraging one of their recommendations, we got a bottle of the 2021 Coenobium. It was one of the best white wines I've had: very light, on the drier yet, and fruity.
We also got several of their small dishes to share:
1) Chips and Dip: Probably the best dish of the night. The fish roe + creme fraiche was delicious. I've never had that combo before and it worked so well together.
2) Pan Con Tomate: There were maybe 7-8 mussels. The tomatoes were fresh
3) Mousse: Loved the mousse. They don't skimp
4) Melon: Would probably skip
5) Cheese and Charcuterie BoardHelpful 3Thanks 1Love this 3Oh no 1 - Suzane W.San Francisco, CA178306Jan 30, 2024
Great location. The owner is so nice and so knowledgeable. The service is great. A great place for a drink before and after the Warriors or Giants game.

Chris is a master sommelier and it's clear why. All of the recommendations he gave us for wine and for dishes were thoughtful, approachable, and delicious. I appreciated his down to earth nature, sense of humor, and his gracious hosting abilities! It's clear he put a lot of thought and love into the menu and space. The charcuterie, bocadillo jamon, and gambas (with clarified garlic butter!!) were excellent and while I loved all of the wines we tasted, the Brown Estate Zinfandel was especially a favorite (even though I normally tend to prefer cabs). We ended our time with some pours of vermouth, which was delightful. Can't wait to come back!

Food was not only missing but what I ended up ordering since there weren't many options was not good. My friend order the prosciutto press sandwich and I ordered the Calabrese sandwich. There was nothing on the bread, the meat tasted boiled and I honestly felt sick later after I ate it. The only ways in why I'm not giving a one star is because I could tell they were understaffed, but I don't think that has anything to do with the preparation of the food. The drinks were ok so if you went here just for that, then the experience might be better.

GluGlu is a fantastic addition to Mission bay and Chase Center! It's rare to find a wine bar owned by TWO Master Sommeliers and staffed by sommeliers(in addition to their wine bar/restaurant Ungrafted).
The wine list is intimidating at first glance but Chris is gifted and thoughtful about listening to you and choosing something that you love while still encouraging you to go outside your comfort zone and try something new(Although their wine menu is perfectly curated and probably you can't go wrong with anything there). He knocked it out of the park with every selection and also made excellent recommendations for food pairings to go with our selections.
The food was delicious, mostly Spanish-inspired tapas and light bites which complement the wine. I loved that the Cheese and charcuterie board comes with a side of giardinera...a Chicago staple. It turns out their chef David Aviles is a fellow Chicagoan from some amazing Michelin rated restaurants in Chicago.
Chris is a hilarious and energetic host and sommelier and really makes you feel welcome. His refreshing approach and enthusiasm for wine makes tasting and learning about wine into a fun, approachable experience for all.
Kid and dog friendly too. We can't wait to come back!Helpful 3Thanks 2Love this 3Oh no 0 - Crystal C.San Francisco, CA62275184May 26, 2023
I was walking by, sans my wallet, but I knew I wanted a drink. I was pleased to see that they have QR codes on their tables, so I was able to help myself to an outside bench, peruse their menu, order, and square my tab without ever stepping inside! It made it very helpful since I had a dog with me. I ordered a glass of sake, and before I could submit my order online, a waiter came out to greet me and see if I needed anything. He returned with my glass of sake and water, and I had such a pleasant experience in the shadow of the Chase Center, sipping sake, and enjoying another job done well by the Ungrafted team. Even though I could transact completely on my phone, the GluGlu team still made it a personable, warm experience.
