Went here on a romantic date night for my birthday and it certainly did not disappoint. It's intimate and romantic with the owner at the wood fire stove at the center of the dinning room. The staff are sweet and tentative without being overbearing. Now about the food. We shared a Country Salad and now I will forever dream of this salad. Trust me, order it. The dressing in the salad was the best I've ever had.
We then got the rosemary pillow bread also so delicious I wished I had saved sun to sop up my pasta sauce with. My bf got the bolognas and I opted for the roasted eggplant and zucchini. Everything was perfection. We I'll be back! Make sure you make a reservation!

Wow - How many times can I say that?? I want to pull out all of the superlatives that I can think of but wow just tops the list.

For so many of us food is just a fueling experience. We eat something because we need to, need to keep working or whatever else we need to do. But the experience of eating truly amazing food - food that makes your senses pop and your heart sing - this had nothing to do with just putting fuel in the tank - this was pure pleasure.

We made reservations for 5:45 pm and it seemed like a great time to arrive. The restaurant filled up about a 1/2 hour after we arrived, so it was nice to get our appetizers and wine ordered early. The service was warm and friendly. We struggled slightly to keep the water glasses full, but it wasn't the end of the world. It does take a while for everything to come out, so if your in a hurry, go somewhere else.

The ambiance was nice, I could definitely see this place in a small town in Italy and I would want to eat there too.

We started with the polenta appetizer with cherry tomatoes and pecorino Romano on top. The olive oil drizzle made the whole dish delicious and creamy. Many polenta dishes have butter and cream in them, this one was non-dairy, which was perfect for me. (Romano cheese is from sheep)

They also brought us a sample of their lentil soup, it had spinach and romano cheese on top. Both my wife and I were totally enchanted with the flavor.

For our main courses, she order a pizza, the Linda, and it was amazing. She was only able to finish about 1/2 so it is a good size to share or to know you will have some leftovers for the next day.

I ordered the lamb leg special, slow roasted leg of lamb in a white bean soup. Absolutely off the chart. I honestly can't remember the last time I had a meal so good. This was the kind of meal that you remember years later, it was that good!

We ordered a bottle of wine, their mid level ($45) Sangiovese from the Tuscany area. Paired with the food it really shined, each mouthful made us feel transported to another time and place.

On a side note, the table next to us got their plates of pasta right before we left. They smelled SO good I wanted to sit back down and have a second dinner.....

So, if you have got to the end of this review, (thanks) I highly recommend that you try this place. I will be thinking about it until I can come back. This was one of the best food experiences I have ever had. Wow!

What a great addition to the Twisp restaurant scene! Tappi exceeds expectations. We ordered the Country Salad, the House Salad, the Linda and Uncle Feiix pizzas and the Polenta. Everything served piping hot by the friendliest servers. Word had gotten out, so definitely make a reservation. It's a small but mighty space. Next time I'll try the house made pasta.

Hands down the best food in the valley. Well worth any wait you may experience. Wood fired oven. Top notch pizzas and pillow bread. Salads, pastas and desserts are excellent too. A+

Loved it. Four bolognese, pep pizza spesh, house salad, pillow bread with honey and chèvre FROM HEAVEN, and probably the best pan a cotta (lemon lime) ever. Kind, friendly service. Lovely atmosphere.

Wow. I cannot believe that we have lived not far from this town and had no idea this restaurant exists. We made a reservation and were readily seated upon arrival. Wait staff were prompt and attentive without bing too much so. The atmosphere is nice with Italian music at an appropriate level. The place is not over done in cultural references. It is very clean. Food and wine? It's all been said and is true. Excellent. Excellent. We will be back! Bravo!

Mixed feelings about this one. We had an extremely long wait for our food. Wait staff was indifferent at best. But the food was very good, so: your call.

Best pasta in the Methow. House made bucatini, where can you fine that? A revelation.
I had been meaning to try this restaurant for 6 years but it's often closed. We finally made it in this year.
The pillow bread was perfect with roasted tomatoes and chèvre. House salad was basic with an acidic dressing. The Linda pizza was good, but had too many toppings so was on the softer side, still tasted good.
Our server (Lizzy?) was fabulous and took great care of us.
Lizzy was knowledgeable about the wine selection, which had lots of Italian options and was very affordable.
      Highly recommend.
