It says vegan options. What are those options?

I'm vegetarian: ravioli, and a handful of other pasta options. I'd call to ask, they get very busy evenings and weekends.

Absolutely! Here's a detailed Yelp review:
"Wow, just wow! A huge shoutout to Alan Paulina for crafting a culinary masterpiece tonight. Each dish was a symphony of flavors, perfectly balanced and beautifully presented. From the appetizer to the dessert, every course was a testament to Alan's passion and skill in the kitchen. The ambiance was just as delightful as the food, making the entire dining experience truly exceptional. Hats off to Alan and the team for an unforgettable evening. If you're looking for a meal that will tantalize your taste buds and leave you smiling all night long, this is the place to be. Can't recommend it enough - a solid five stars! I have been coming to uovo for years, and I will continue to do so for years to come. Hands down the best pasta I've had in the states. The view from the marina can't be beat, and the staff are always super friendly and on it. Get the carbonara if it's your first time. The underrated gem of the menu is the carciofi.

We did a fun family bike ride and zipped past the diners at UOVO overlooking the marina. On the way back, the fam voted for a pasta lunch. So glad we did!
We've seen UOVO restaurants all over the place from Santa Monica to Studio City, but always relegated it as a chain pasta place. Our apologies. This place is legit.
The amatriciana dish was spectacular with the crispy bits of pork in a tasty, subtly spicy red sauce and perfectly cooked pasta. The vongole was good, but I've had a lot of great vongoles in my years and this one didn't have the strong seafood flavor I like. Still, it was great especially when I mixed in the mind-blowing mushrooms we ordered as a side. I'm not the biggest mushroom fan, but these things are next level.
Beyond the food, the staff was attentive and welcoming. They're dog friendly, btw. They immediately brought our guy a big bowl of water.
As far as ambiance, how can you beat a view of water and boats on a beautiful, sunny day. We're huge fans and we'll definitely be back. I think we'll time it to have a sunset meal next visit!Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - 11095Apr 25, 2024
Food: I mean...cheese wheel pasta. Enough said. Beautifully made and some dishes are downright decadent. I highly recommend the tasting menus - a great selection of dishes on each list and it's a good way to try a range. Last time I was there, I did a tasting menu, and then ordered the tagliatelle to go.
Access: doesn't take reservations for small parties. They're usually able to accommodate sets of 2 at the bar, but I recommend arriving on the earlier end like 5/6 otherwise there may be a longer wait. Parking is available but gets packed. Lovely view from the restaurant of the Marina, but a high traffic area so be prepared for lots of passers-by.
Service: There is a manager guy who has been there all three times I've visited, and he is very sociable, nice, welcoming, and I appreciate that he has an opinion on most if not all the dishes (can guide asks for recs). The rest of the staff has consistently been nice, attentive, and accommodating.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - 1748352Apr 24, 2024
A lovely restaurant on the water, which I adored for date night. Service was nice, and it was definitely popular on a Saturday night! We thought the pasta was good, but our palettes were looking for a bit more complexity in the dishes.
I forgot exactly what we got, but one of the dishes was a pasta made of clam sauce. This piqued our interest, but we were a bit disappointed in the taste, as it seemed to have lacked something else. We ordered a side of mushrooms, which were hands down absolutely delicious. We added those mushrooms to our pasta and it made the dishes a tad more enjoyable for our liking. You gotta try their mushroom dish! The pasta itself was yummy - not too soggy not too undercooked.Helpful 0Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Feb 29, 20241 check-in
Last night, we had a blast at this Italian spot in Marina Del Ray! Even though we waited an hour for a table, it was worth it. The hostess took my number and texted me when our table was ready--props for that!
We went for the Cheese & Truffle tasting menu ($37 per person), a flavor explosion! The Yellowtail Crudo and Tagliatelle in truffle sauce were top-notch, fresh, and flavorful. Sure, there was a wait between courses, but who cares when the food's this good? And the Tiramisu al cucchiaio? Chef's kiss.
Unique ambiance; great for first dates and catching up with friends.
Service was on point all night--10 out of 10. If you want legit Italian eats, this spot's the real deal. Highly recommend!

Probably the best UOVO location! We came here around 6pm on a weekend, and had to wait about 40 minutes before seating. Not bad considering how busy other locations can get. I once was told a 2 hour wait at the Pasadena location - no thank you!
Uovo MDR location wins in that it's right by the harbor, and you can see a beautiful sunset if you sit outside. We were able to catch the sunset while enjoying some dang good food.
What we liked most about uovo is that their pasta don't make you feel disgustingly full, like some other restaurants do. The serving sizes are smaller than your average American restaurant, but that helps with portion control, or if you want to try more variety.
My baseline is always to try a carbonara and it was amazing. We also loved the arrabiata and ravioli di ricotta. They often have off the menu specials, so make sure you chat with your server and see what they recommend!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 1 - Mar 9, 2024
I came here to dine for dinner alone on a Wednesday night. There was a short line and I didn't have any prior reservations but since I was eating alone, I luckily got seated right away at the bar.
I liked the interior of the restaurant. The bar seating was nice because I got to see the staff cooking. It was really dimly lit, so I could barely read the menu but other than that, it wasn't too much of an issue. The staff was nice and helped suggest some items on the menu.
I ordered the carbonara and the tiramisu. The carbonara was good, I liked it. Not too many bacon pieces though.
The tiramisu was good too but it was definitely more on the creamier side so the cake to cream ratio as off. The flavor was there though.
Overall, I had a nice time dining here myself and would come back if I was ever in the area again.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 18, 20241 check-in
Being an LMU Mom, I needed to look up good restaurants nearby. This has been on my list for a while and I regret not coming sooner. The pastas are so fresh and delicious that this will be our new go to place. Pastas flown in daily from Italy!
The service was great, our food came out quick. The view was amazing. Th e owner came by to ask us how everything was and where we were from. He said he loved the LMU community. This family loves him and his restaurant!
Also, it's a no tipping establishment, it is built in, but nothing crazy (16%). No substitutions, because they know what makes it great.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1
