Sometimes one has to wonder just how much stuff in their house can pertain to a particular brand or company. Evidently, Sega does the same, as the company has announced that it will be releasing scented candles based on its Dreamcast and Mega Drive consoles.

On Facebook, the company has asked fans for suggestions on what smell the candles (which come with their own little replica console base) should have, with their “favorite” choices receiving free units. While it’s unclear whether or not these picks will actually have bearing on the actual scent of the candles, users have already come up with choices, from the simple and pleasant (blackberry and cherry blossom) to… well, what you’d expect the internet to come up with (burnt plastic and “hedgehog”).

With this, we’re curious to see how other companies will follow suit. Will Nintendo release Game Boy-styled bath oils? How about Xbox-shaped wine holders? Or Playstation-colored soaps? While we’ll have to wait and see on the future of slightly bourgeois video game-related items, you can offer your own suggestions for the Sega console scents on the Sega Forever Facebook page.
