5 Newly-Minted New Haven Police Officers Includes 4 Women Of Color

The five graduated from the police academy and will now spend around three months in field training with a certified senior officer.

NEW HAVEN, CT — Having graduated from the police academy in Meriden, five New Haven Police Department recruits include four women of color.

Following the POST Session 373 commencement, police took to Facebook to congratulate the five new officers: Chantel Davis, Tonisha Berrios, Adian Tudor, Andrea Moore and Marelyn Vega.

The new officers will begin three months of field training where they ride with a certified senior officer, according to police spokesperson Scott Shumway.
