Rosario Dawson’s family is growing!

The Ahsoka actress, 44, is reportedly gearing up to become a grandmother. On Thursday, Page Six reported that the Hollywood star’s daughter, 21-year-old Isabella Dawson, is expecting her first child.

“It’s very exciting,” the Seven Pounds talent told the outlet, adding that the baby is due next year and she plans on going by “Glamma.”

PEOPLE reached out to Dawson’s rep for comment but did not immediately hear back.

Rosario spoke exclusively with PEOPLE this summer about Isabella — whom she adopted in 2014 at the age of 11.

"I was watching this thing of, the people you go on vacation with are either people who like wanna do a lot of things or just wanna lay and do nothing. My daughter is the lay and do nothing [on the] beach," The Haunted Mansion actress told PEOPLE in August.

At the time, the star was discussing her work with SHISEIDO Blue Project’s Third Annual Beach Clean-Up, in partnership with WSL One Ocean and WILDCOAST.

Continuing to rave about her daughter, she added, "It's all about that! I've made some masterful sand mermaid tails on her. I have to say. You know, lay right there, kid. Just stick your head out. And she's got that beautiful curly hair. She's my mermaid."

Before becoming Isabella’s mom, Rosario knew the young girl’s mother. The Men in Black II actress told Health for its March 2021 issue that she chose to adopt after learning that Isabella was in foster care.

“It wasn't even a question; it was clearly meant to be," she said.

"I'm grateful for her development, our maturation and our connection," she explained in her cover story for the magazine. "To have a young person move in with you and to have to really consciously work through triggers and that kind of stuff is a really different thing than being pregnant and having your baby grow up in front of you — to be able to see how we're getting closer and closer. We are a family, and it's beautiful."

Speaking with PEOPLE Now in December 2018, Rosario said despite there being no biological relation between her and Isabella, many have seen an “uncanny” resemblance between the now-21-year-old and Rosario’s mother, Isabel Celeste.

“When we walk down the street, no one ever questions whether or not we’re family,” the actress said. “She’s Puerto Rican and the island is small, so maybe we are somehow related, but it’s kind of remarkable.”

While the Josie and the Pussycats alum didn’t tease any possible baby names for her grandchild, there’s a high chance that if the baby is a girl, they may stick to a special family tradition.

"She's named after my grandmother,” Rosario told Parents magazine's We Are Family podcast in November 2021 while explaining the sweet sentiment behind Isabella's name

“So, my grandmother was Isabel. My mom's Isabel Celeste, I'm Rosario Isabel."
