Atelier Marie Remake Gets Additional Screenshots, Details

Koei Tecmo and Gust released some new screenshots and details for the upcoming Atelier Marie Remake: The Alchemist of Salburg. The update covers the additional events included in the game, which let player learn more about its characters, as well as its Photo Mode, and mini-games. The Photo Mode lets players place Marie and her friends in different poses and expressions as well as apply stamps and other items while applying different filters and frames. Meanwhile, its variety of mini-games include Punipuni Hammer, Golden Salmon Search, Catch Those Rats, Apple Rush, Treasure Hunt, and Name Collector, all of which reward players with in-game items.

Atelier Marie was originally released for PlayStation in Japan in 1997 — with versions later released on Sega Saturn, PC, Sega Dreamcast, PlayStation 2, Android, and iOS — and has not previously been released in English. The game follows Marlone (aka Marie), an alchemy student in the city of Salburg, who is given her own workshop and five years to prove herself. The remake will include new 3D graphics, an expanded tutorial with additional gameplay guidance, adjusted mini-game controls, and balance adjustments. It also adds a new Unlimited Mode, which removes the game’s five-year graduation deadline, as well as more social events and new “Professor Ingrid’s Tasks” to act as a guide for what players should do next.

Atelier Marie Remake will release for PC (via Steam), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch on July 13, 2023. Those looking to read more about the game can check out Paul Shkreli’s impression of a PC build.
