Good morning, I own my own maimai cab and something happened to game install. I trying to get the file from the usb drive it came with to install but nothing happens. I’ve attached some photos for reference. Any assistance would be appreciated.

With power off, hold down test and service, then power on the system. This will enter repair mode and rebuild the operating system.
Once that finishes you should be able to install the game again.

Be warned the resealing stage can take up to an hour depending on the size of the hdd.

Note: this assumes you have a real keychip that matches the game.

I’ve tried powering on while holding both buttons and each one by themself. It still just boots up normally to the ringedge 2 screen and goes back to the wait for installation screen. Could I possibly be doing something wrong? Haha

Yes the keychip I have match’s also.

Hold both buttons down until you see the recovery screen. Takes about 30-60s.

Also it may only work via the physical buttons on the ringedge. As jvs hasn’t initialised yet.

Well did the reset mentioned above and found the buttons under the some white covers. Feel dumb missing that, but after the completion it ended up just getting me back to the wait for installation screen.

Photos for reference is there another place to plug the usb in to be read?

After doing this how do I reinstall the game? Should it be a pop up or something?

I think your problem is you have an SDEY keychip, which is for Maimai FINALE. The keychip for Maimai Milk is SDDZ.

The Junkdrive says Milk but text files inside are labeled SDEY Finale on it.

Only other thing I can think to check is that the USB drive is labelled "SEGA_INS"

Yeah, the installer checks the name of the usb.

Fantastic that you’re making progress.

I’m in Australia 😀
